Research

I do research on a variety of topics, including the design, development, and evaluation of IS applications and the determinants of IS effectiveness.

I am particularly interested in these matters in the context of:

1) teaching and learning in university and organizational settings,

2) online discussion and dialogue, and

3) preparing for and responding to emergencies

My current projects are aimed at the advancement of IS theory and the improvement of IS artifacts.

I am Co-Director (with Lorne Olfman) of the CGU Social Learning Software Lab (SL2).
